Parent & Me: Ceramic Finger Labyrinths

Class | Available

Come make art and memories as a parent and child during this fun Parent & Me ceramics class! Join OAC art teacher, Andrea Heinz, and create a functional piece of art that helps promote mindfulness!  We will each design and create a clay finger labyrinth that will be fired in the kiln and glazed on the last day. Connect with your child as you each create something unique and share in the experience of art making together. This workshop is for artists of any age to do together as a parent and child.

Did you know that using a labyrinth acts as a miniature meditation and can lower your heart rate within just a few minutes? Finger labyrinths promote mindfulness by anchoring your attention to a physical motion, which slows your breathing and quiets a busy mind.

All supplies provided. This course runs for three weeks on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:00 PM. (Participants can pick up their finished labyrinths in January after the holidays.)

Please register yourself as a parent and your child separately on our online registration platform. The tuition is $25 each individual.
