Wire Wrapped Stone Pendant with Lyn Westra

Turn those special stones you’ve been collecting over the years into a beautiful keepsake! In this class we will explore fundamental and ornamental techniques to secure cabochons and stones within a frame to create a one -of-a-kind piece of wearable art. We will learn to manipulate various gauges of wire while becoming proficient with the tools of the trade. Each piece will be a free-form original design with room for embellishment. If you have a special stone you would like to wrap, bring it along!
All supplies provided; if you have jewelry pliers, please bring them along!

Lin Westra
Lin Westra has enjoyed exploring her artistic and creative side since childhood. Her explorations have been varied, from pottery to painting to collage to jewelry. Lin went on to a career as an art teacher. Her focus has been on collage and jewelry making. Now retired, Lin is based in Frankfort and has shown her work at regional art shows and boutiques, including the Oliver Art Center gift shop.
