Oil Painting: Mastering Shapes with Adam Van Houten
Class | Available
This is a 2-day workshop.
Painters of a variety of skill levels often think of color and value as the most important aspects of paintings. In reality, the structure and especially the shapes in your painting can be very important. In this class, we will focus on how to arrange shapes and learn how they can have a dramatic effect on the overall painting. We will learn to create a painting with variety, interest, and movement, how to plan your painting, and how to think about arranging a composition. We will also explore how color, value, line, and brushstrokes used in conjunction with shapes can produce paintings that are exciting!
Intermediate, ages 18+.
