Comix Camp! with Hal Papcun
Camp | Available
Kids who enjoy drawing, storytelling, or comics will love Comix Camp!
With thoughtful guidance from fine arts illustrator and educator Hal Papcun, kids age 9 and up will learn to make their own comic or “zine”.
In this exciting four-day experience, they will be guided step-by-step through the full creative process, including concept development, panel layout, pacing, line weight, and inking. This camp will boost creativity and confidence by breaking down the comic-making process. After brainstorming their own character and story ideas, students will explore visual flow, sketch panels, ink final artwork, and experiment with black-and-white versus color, creating a finished comic or panel of their own to share.
This camp is an excellent skill-building adventure that promises to be a lot of fun!
