If gardens bring you joy, this two-day watercolor workshop is for you! We’ll look back in history at watercolor artists celebrated for their paintings inspired by gardens, then discuss style and technique. Our subject is the nasturtium, a cheerful flowering plant that blossoms throughout the summer. We’ll work through a guided process, drawing from a photograph and layering watercolor washes to bring your painting to life. Expect plenty of demos, good humor, and an encouraging group studio space. Return home with a colorful painting and a handful of nasturtium seeds to plant in your garden for future studies!
Intermediate level, age 16+.
