Luminous Florals in Pastel with Anne Kindl

Class | Available

Discover how to capture the radiant color and beauty of florals using the expressive mark-making potential of pastel, with four distinct underpainting effects. In this workshop, geared to any skill level, Anne will show us how to elevate expression in floral paintings by using the power of journaling to deepen our connections with nature; by adding luminosity with glowing underpainting techniques; by creating color harmony with visually engaging color palettes; and by embracing intuitive mark-making to generate energy and movement.

Whether you already know and love pastel or you’re a newcomer to the medium, you’ll be inspired by its potential for bold, beautiful color, making it the perfect medium for painting florals!

ARTIST STATEMENT

"Nature is a profound source of healing and inspiration, offering a refuge for the soul amid daily chaos. The elements—water, trees, and sky—fuel my artistic exploration, revealing endless discoveries. I'm fascinated by how light and color create dynamic scenes, which I strive to capture on canvas. Through vibrant hues and expressive marks, I aim to distill fleeting moments. My goal is to share this journey with others who embrace creativity, fostering a community of inspiration and learning.”
