This is a 2-Day Workshop - September 9 & 10 12-4pm
Welcoming back students from the Back to Basics course as well as new students with some oil experience, this class will help refine skills for beginner-intermediate painters. Students will dive deeper into color mixing, toning, composition, and methods for planning, starting, building, and completing a painting.
Intermediate level recommended, age 18+.
Supply List:
Your own Reference Photos - either hard copies or bring an Ipad/Laptop
Paint - Recommended Colors:
Titanium White
Cadmium Red Warm
Alizarin Crimson
Ultramarine Blue
Manganese Blue (Rembrandt Paint)
Cadmium Yellow Medium
Hansa Yellow
Chromatic Black
*A note regarding paint - this is a suggested starting point. The goal is to at least have a warm and a cool of each of the primary colors, as well as a generous amount of black and white. If you don’t have these exact colors but have warms and cools of each of the primaries, perfect. If you have additional colors, great! Bring them along. I generally prefer to use Gamblin Oil Paint, but please bring what you have on hand.

Gamvar Solvent
Liquin
Small container refined Linseed Oil

Set of Dakota Pro Series Brushes, Long Handle (Dick Blick)
Any other Oil brushes you own or would like to add.
