2-Day Workshop with Amelia Bell: Hollow Forms on the Wheel
Class | Available
This is a 2-day workshop.
Day 1: Wednesday July 8, 10am-1pm. (morning)
Day 2: Friday July 10, 3-6pm (afternoon)
This workshop will explore throwing hollow forms on the wheel. Students who possess basic throwing skills will learn to throw, trim, and alter closed forms to create individual vessels and components for larger forms. Expand your throwing skills by learning to turn hollow forms into jars, saltshakers, or ring jugs. Day one will be for throwing the vessel, and day two will focus on trimming and finishing. Projects will be bisque-fired when dry. Students enrolled in a current class may glaze during their weekly lab time. Those who are not enrolled in a class may select a glaze color from our collection, and the instructor will take care of the glazing for you. Finished pieces can be picked up when fired.
All supplies included. Intermediate level, age 18+.
