Class Description: Gorgeous Glass - 2-Day Mosaic Workshop with Julia Kline

In this class students will learn about the tools and techniques involved in creating beautiful mosaic art. Students are encouraged to bring a photo of a favorite scene, from which they will work on developing their concept into a workable design pattern which will be used to transform their vision into a colorful glass art piece. Julia will introduce students to all needed tools, stained glass cutting, scoring, grinding, adhering, prepping the surface, grouting and completing a 1 ft. square piece.
Plywood surface and all materials will be provided.

Bio:
Julia Yerkov Kline is a multimedia, Yugoslav born American artist who received her BS in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburg. Julia is the owner of Lake Effect Concepts, where she implements designs for commercial and residential interiors. Her experience in visual arts allows her to build unique mixed media fixtures for specific environments, custom furniture and architectural elements of metal and glass. She is always evolving and developing her skills and exploring new creative outlets.

The learning process never stops for me. It is inspiring and necessary to search for that perfect means of expression, a texture or material that would conform with my moment in time.
