Class Description: Lavender Wands - Lavender Crafts with Jennifer Flynn

In the 17th and 18th Century French women found many new uses for lavender. Lavender wands were created using ribbons to weave around stems of lavender to craft a beautifully scented wand. In this class you will learn to make your own wand to treasure!
This class is perfect for ages 12 and up.

Jennifer Flynn
Jennifer Flynn has been creating batik paintings since 1987, exhibiting in shows, galleries, and museums all over the world. In 2005 she received “Best in Show” in fiber art at the Ann Arbor Art Fair. Jennifer and her husband Don own Warrren Hill Lavender Farm near Platte Lake, where they grow lavender for sale at the Frankfort Farmer’s Market. Jennifer volunteers regularly at numerous organizations and events in the region and is a member of the Oliver Art Center board of directors. She also teaches lavender crafts and baking at OAC, and is one of the youth summer camp instructors.
