Learn to turn ring-cut segmented bowls from boards. This advanced woodturning class will take you through board preparation, the various degree angles needed, turning, and assembly to make a beautiful bowl. Add a new technique to your woodturning repertoire. Joe, a recipient of the Arkansas Arts Council Folklife Award, will share his love of woodworking.
Joe Doster
Joe (Huntsville, AR) started woodworking sitting on his rear. As a kid, his Dad would often say 'I need your help.' 'Sit on this board while I cut it.' Joe has worked wood all his life. He has travelled the juried art road in the 80’s and 90’s with his furniture and taught woodworking and furniture making for 21 years at secondary and post-secondary levels. Now retired, he finds that he misses the classroom and his love for sharing craftsmanship.
