Horsehair, Feathers and Raku

In this workshop, you will embellish pre-formed ceramic pieces using wax resist and raku glazes and experience the unique process of burning horsehair and feathers onto pottery. Everyone will participate in the thrilling firing process by experimenting with three vessels, each reflecting the creativity and magic of raku firing.

Jessica (Eureka Springs, AR) earned a BFA in painting and photography. She taught high school art for 15 years. She is now a freelance artist and has experience working with and teaching drawing, painting, jewelry, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics.
