Amber Leibee
Amber’s (Eureka Springs, AR) formative years were spent on a farm in rural Kansas where she developed a deep attachment to the natural world around her. She has always preferred the peace of quiet spaces; her work and teaching methods reflect this tranquility.
Her artistic focus is on capturing the beauty of Mother Nature by sketching and painting primarily small works of art, completed while observing and working on location, using minimal equipment.
Amber hand-grinds her watercolor paint with pigments sourced world-wide and holds a tolerably interesting level of knowledge on pigment characteristics and their historical significance. She enjoys sharing this understanding, and her sketching and painting methods, with her students.
