S26-28 Artificial Intelligence: Where we are headed?

Zoom | Registration opens 3/2/2026 9:00 AM EST

This Zoom class will not be recorded.  Artificial Intelligence has changed the landscape of technology. It poses challenges that are both technical and social. Generative algorithms, robots and machine learning now underlie the most common applications. AI invades our lives whether we want it to or not. It impacts our privacy, daily use of our devices, education and creativity. There is very little nowadays that does not have AI behind it. What exactly is happening? How far and fast is it going, and who is responsible for its successes and failures? What is the collateral damage? We will discuss these questions and more. Students should have taken my Introduction to AI or at least be familiar with AI terminology.
