Vaccines represent one of medicine’s greatest achievements, preventing countless deaths and decreasing morbidity in nearly all corners of the world. However, despite these successes, concerns remain about the safety and necessity of vaccines. In this course, we will examine vaccine technology, vaccine efficacy, and vaccine safety, hoping to separate fact from fiction.

Nils Pilotte

Nils Pilotte, is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. Dr. Pilotte is a molecular biologist who studies the genetics and DNA structure of disease causing parasites. He is interested in understanding the mechanisms of inheritance in parasitic organisms and how these inheritance patterns contribute to pathogenicity.
