The Studio SE MBSE Master Class with SysML v2 is a 4-day (24-hour), comprehensive program that provides a practical foundation for applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using the SysML v2 language and CATIA Magic software. Academic licenses will be provided for attendees of the course.
This course begins with the fundamentals of modeling—what a model is, why and how engineers use models, and how a well-constructed model can improve communication, manage project complexity, support engineering decisions, and provide consistency and efficiency in creating and maintaining model element traceability throughout the system lifecycle.
As part of this course, students will explore how traditional Systems Engineering concepts and representations can be translated into an MBSE approach using the SysML v2 language. This will be accomplished by building a model together as a class, starting with the idea for a new system and progressing through the definition of a top-level system architecture. Throughout this process, concepts of the SysML v2 language—including both graphical and textual representations—will be progressively introduced in the context of the model being developed, to the level of development supported by CATIA Magic.
Upon completion of the course, participants will have a practical understanding of MBSE modeling principles, SysML v2 concepts and syntax, the relationship between traditional SE representations and SysML v2 views, and how these concepts are implemented in CATIA Magic. Participants will also be able to apply this understanding immediately to their own work
