Join us for an immersive experience into the art of stone setting with our "Silver 1.5 - Butt in Seat Stone Setting" class. This class is designed for those who want to build confidence and comfort by setting stones on their own and with some variety. Perfect for ambitious beginners and those looking to refine their skills.  This hands-on course emphasizes the importance of repetition in mastering the craft. We will start with the basics by working with a simple, elegant round stone, progressing to more complex settings that could include corners, gallery wire, gold filled bezels, multiple stones, and beautiful embellishments. Through focused instruction and dedicated practice time, you will gain the confidence and ability needed to set stones independently. Unleash your creativity and transform your silver pieces into stunning works of art!

 

Lab fee: $160: Includes first project. Materials for the first project are round cabochon, sterling silver backing plate, bezel wire and bail material. Fee also includes.the use of tools and consumables as well as the instructor’s experience and handouts, resources, guidance, and endless energy for questions, even after class.

 Estimated Materials Fee: $65-300 depending on student choices for projects.

 Prerequisites: Students are required to have taken Silver 1 or equivalent experience. Comfort with the torch will be extremely helpful.
