SILVER II: SOLDERING AND FINISHING WEEKEND BOOT CAMP

FRIDAY 6/27: 6PM TO 9PM AND SATURDAY: 6/28 9AM TO 4PM

So, you’ve taken a few classes but haven’t quite connected the dots to solder successfully every time. This Boot Camp is designed to get you there! Using silver and copper stock in a range of sizes and shapes, I’ll guide you through exercises that challenge your skills while reinforcing and building on what you already know. To keep the focus on soldering, we won’t complete a finished project. Instead, you’ll get maximum hands-on practice. Students are welcome to bring any additional pieces they’d like help with.

In part two of this weekend workshop, we’ll shift our focus to finishing techniques—learning how to refine your pieces and make them shine. Please bring any unfinished work you'd like to complete during this session.

Materials included: copper stock, solder and finishing bits for flex shaft.

NOT included: Students are asked to bring: Fine silver bezel wire 26 gauge, 16g and 18g sterling silver wire, 6mm sterling silver jump rings. A silver kit is available ($50), please contact instructor.

Class fee: $150/student – includes materials.

Pre-requisite: Students must have experience soldering silver and some metalworking experience.
