METAL CLAY: A Tide Pool Pendant in Silver Metal Clay
Instructor: Starr Payne
August 23, 2025, Saturday 9am to 4pm
Create a “Tidepool” pendant in this Silver Metal Clay Workshop. In this one-day workshop, we will using small molded beach themed elements and put them together into a “Tidepool”. Once assembled, the pendants will be fired using a torch then polished and patinaed so that each student will go home with a finished piece of fine silver jewelry.
Metal is micro-fine particles of silver in a claylike binder that can be cut, formed, and textured. When fired with a torch or kiln, the binder burns away and what is left is fine silver. This class is good for both new and experienced metal clay students.
The class fee includes enough silver metal clay to complete a pendant and/or a pair of earrings, along with handouts and consumables and the use of instructor’s tools. Additional metal clay and materials will be available for purchase if desired.
