ETCHING USING RUBBER STAMPS AND FERRIC CHLORIDE
WEEKEND CLASS
INSTRUCTOR: KIM ST. JEAN
In this class you will be learning how to use copper, brass, rubber stamps, Staz On ink, and ferric chloride to do low tech etching that can be used as rolling mill texture plates or components in your jewelry. All materials and supplies are provided in the kit fee.
Class Fee: $125.00
Prerequisite: None
Class Times: Friday 4pm-8pm and Saturday 9am-5pm
*WH TUITION: $100 Includes Breakfast and Boxed Lunch. No additional charge for lodging if taking a class, the week before or after, $60 lodging fee if needed. Please email sharon@lapidaryschool.org to arrange lodging.
Kim St. Jean
Kim St. Jean is an award-winning instructor, author, and jewelry designer. Following 10 years as a public school teacher, she has been teaching jewelry classes for over 20 years. Kim has been published in numerous magazines and books. She has appeared on several beading/craft television programs including Jewelry TV and Beads Baubles & Jewels. Kim also has written 3 books and has over 30 instructional DVD’s and on-line courses available. Predominantly at www.wirejewelry.com Kim’s home base is in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she and her husband, Norm, own Studio St. Jean. Kim, Norm, and their son Chase spend much of the year traveling across the country teaching classes at bead shows, jewelry schools, guilds, clubs, studios, and stores.
