SILVER II: STONE ON STONE JEWELRY DESIGN
INSTRUCTOR: KIM ST. JEAN
In this class you will learn which drill bits to use to create holes in stones. You will learn how to make and use tube rivets and a variety of hinges. A large emphasis on design and color will be covered. Sterling used in this class will be purchased from the instructor at fair market value at the time of the class. You are welcome to bring your own stones. I will have many stones available for purchase. Estimated class cost including class fee is $250-$450.

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of jewelry fabrication using silver, solder, a torch and a jeweler’s saw. You must be proficient in making a bezel setting. This class’s focus is designing, drilling and setting multiple stones.
Kim St. Jean
Kim St. Jean is an award-winning instructor, author, and jewelry designer. Following 10 years as a public school teacher, she has been teaching jewelry classes for over 20 years. Kim has been published in numerous magazines and books. She has appeared on several beading/craft television programs including Jewelry TV and Beads Baubles & Jewels. Kim also has written 3 books and has over 30 instructional DVD’s and on-line courses available. Predominantly at www.wirejewelry.com Kim’s home base is in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she and her husband, Norm, own Studio St. Jean. Kim, Norm, and their son Chase spend much of the year traveling across the country teaching classes at bead shows, jewelry schools, guilds, clubs, studios, and stores.
