SILVER I: BEZEL AND BAIL BONANZA
INSTRUCTOR: KIM ST. JEAN
In this class we will be focusing on how to create our own unique bezels and bails using wire and sterling silver sheet. We will be working with jeweler’s saws and hand tools. Sweat soldering and but soldering will be key in creating these bezels and bails. Once our unique bezels and bails have been made, we will use them to create one-of-a-kind sterling silver jewelry. All sterling used in class will be purchased from the instructor at fair market value at the time of class. Estimated class cost including class fee is $200-$300. You may bring stones to use in finished projects.

Prerequisite: At least one silver 1 class or working knowledge of how to use solder and a torch to create sterling silver jewelry.
Kim St. Jean
Kim St. Jean is an award-winning instructor, author, and jewelry designer. Following 10 years as a public school teacher, she has been teaching jewelry classes for over 20 years. Kim has been published in numerous magazines and books. She has appeared on several beading/craft television programs including Jewelry TV and Beads Baubles & Jewels. Kim also has written 3 books and has over 30 instructional DVD’s and on-line courses available. Predominantly at www.wirejewelry.com Kim’s home base is in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she and her husband, Norm, own Studio St. Jean. Kim, Norm, and their son Chase spend much of the year traveling across the country teaching classes at bead shows, jewelry schools, guilds, clubs, studios, and stores.
