SILVER II: OPEN STUDIO BOOT CAMP – SILVER FABRICATION

Do you have shows coming up and you just need to focus and make some inventory without silly things like cooking and dishes getting in the way? Are you tired of teachers telling you "stop trying to make more pieces....this isn't a production class."? Great news for you-- this IS a production class.
This is open studio, so there is no official instruction, but we can all share our tips and tricks to make production work go smoother while also sharing some laughs and getting work done.
Bring all your half-finished projects or knock out a hundred stacker rings--the time is yours to do whatever you want and there will be plenty of it. We will work every evening we are allowed to.

Prerequisites: This is geared towards intermediate level silversmiths. If you can work independently and are confident enough to light a torch and turn it off without jumping, you are qualified for this open studio.

Valerie Lamott
After spending all day destroying things as a Quality Engineer, Valerie began metalsmithing classes in the evening to focus more on creating things. In 2013 she moved to South Carolina and transitioned into creating jewelry full time. Her work can be found in galleries in the South and Midwest and at many art shows. Often inspired by nature and travel, Valerie's work uses a variety of techniques-piercings, etching, stone setting, enameling, chasing, casting, etc. Valerie is most interested in the process of how things are made and enjoys the challenge of making a vision a reality.
