This beginner class is for true beginners as well as those that are rusty with their basic skills. We will cover proper use of a saw and piercing while we make a pendant. Using the rolling mill, disc cutter and dapping block students will make a classic pair of silver earrings. To aid in heat control and solder placement we will make a chain after wrapping our wire and sawing out the rings. Basic stone setting will be covered while we create a ring with a textured background. After the first 4 mandatory projects, students will be able to design their own pieces. I will have all materials needed to complete these projects, as well as tools to sell if you need help setting up a home studio. Class fee covers consumables, and silver for your first sawing project.
