SILVER III: RING BLING
INSTRUCTOR: KIEU PHAM GRAY
This week-long jewelry-making class is perfect for those ready to dive into ring making. Over the course of five days, we’ll tackle 5-6 projects (time permitting), each focusing on a different stone-setting approach. With hands-on guidance, you'll not only refine your technical skills but also be encouraged to add your unique voice to each design, creating rings that reflect your personal style and artistic vision.
Cabochons/semi-precious stones will be available for purchase. ($10-30)
Students are asked to bring: favorite pliers, burnisher, bezel rocker, ring clamp, half round pliers, carbon ring mandrel, oval bezel mandrel, fine tweezers.
Class fee: $300/student – includes written instructions for each project, consumables, use of tools not provided by WH.
Estimated Materials Fee Per Project: Intersections $40, Bevel In $50, Intrepid $160 (Tahitian pearl), Baroque $65, Umbra $40 (does not include stone), Step by Step Ring $35 (does not include stone)
Prerequisite: Students must have experience soldering silver and some metalworking experience
