I have been captivated by pretty stones since I was a kid, enamored of seeing pretty rocks along Lake Michigan.  We lived nearby the Lizzardo Museum of Lapidary arts, and I was highly influenced by the amazing lapidary art there.

Through the Louisville Visual Arts Association, perhaps +25yrs ago, I started with wire wrapping to be able to wear pretty stones more affordably.  My first silversmithing classes were with , Jane Steerman.   I currently study silversmithing with Lona Northerner, in addition to ongoing lessons with Chuck Bruce.

Classes attended at William Holland include Cabochons 1 and Turbo charged Cabochons with Jack King,, Dale Koebnik’s alternative cabochon setting class, Jim Richardson soldering intensive, Bill Boggs intarsia 2, Chuck Bruck Inlay III at WH, Dave Wayment for channel setting, and Bruce McKay stone carving.
