SILVER III: CLASPS AND CLOSURES
INSTRUCTOR: VICKIE PRILLAMAN
This class will cover several different styles of clasps and closures and their uses in your jewelry design. Some of the clasps can be used to finish a bracelet or necklace you have made in another class or a bracelet or necklace you have purchased and are not happy with the existing clasp and would like to replace it with your original design. Clasps can be the focal point of your jewelry piece. We will cover the options available to you. You will construct a domed slotted clasp, a disc clasp, and a keyhole clasp. I will have samples of other clasps that I have made over the years and time permitting you may be able to construct one of more of these other clasps and /or terminations. The class fee covers handouts, solder, flux, saw blades, and other consumables, and first clasp material. The cost of silver will be dependent on market price. If you have any questions, please call Vickie at 770-265-7879.
