You will learn the proper use of the basic tools used in making jewelry. We will discuss safe practices and then get a chance to use the tools to create three pieces of jewelry. You will learn how to use a saw, rolling mill for printing patterns on silver, learn to solder and set a cabochon stone. You will be provided with copper, silver, saw blades, solder and a cabochon stone to create a ring, pendant, and a pair of earrings. Additional silver, stones and supplies are available for purchase to create more pieces. You are welcome to bring your own tools. An OptiVisor or magnifying reading glasses are strongly recommended.
