ENAMELING I/II

INSTRUCTOR: CHRISTINA

If you have some experience or none at all, this class will accommodate everyone.  It is not a structured class, meaning that you, the student, will let me know what you would like to reasonably accomplish - and we'll take it from there.  We will go from learning the basics to some of the classic techniques (and there are many) at your speed.  To give you an idea: we'll offer Cloisonne, Basse Taille, Sgraffito, apaints, liquid enamels, crackle, and separation enamels. It's mostly "hands on" with a decent dose of technical details, including knowledge of opaque and transparent enamels plus some design challenges and color choices. But most of all: let's have fun!

Class Fee: $150

Est Materials Fee: $0+

Consumables Fee: 0

Prerequisite: None

A lifelong passion for Fine Arts and Fine Crafts brought Christina to William Holland, first as a student and for the past few years as an instructor. Producing a variety of crafts, such as pottery, knitting and sewing, leather and batik, enameling, and her favorite; cloisonné. For some years now, she has introduced her students to the various techniques of enameling, and she hopes to continue to share her passion.
