SILVER II: UNIQUE, ORGANIC OR UNUSUAL STONE SETTINGS

INSTRUCTOR: KIM ST. JEAN

 

In this class you will learn how to use nontraditionally shaped stones to create wearable sterling silver art. We will be utilizing prongs, step bezels, decorative bezels, tabs, and tension settings. I will have specimens, seashells, organics, fossils, bone, horn, found objects and more for you to choose from to create your designs. All silver and stones will be provided in class at fair market value. The class fee will include instructional notes, specialty tool use and consumables.

St. Jean, Kim

Kim St. Jean is an award-winning instructor, author, and jewelry designer. Following 10 years as a public school teacher, she has been teaching jewelry classes for over 20 years. Kim has been published in numerous magazines and books. She has appeared on several beading/craft television programs including Jewelry TV and Beads Baubles & Jewels. Kim also has written 3 books and has over 30 instructional DVD’s and on-line courses available. Predominantly at www.wirejewelry.com  Kim’s home base is in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she and her husband, Norm, own Studio St. Jean. Kim, Norm, and their son Chase spend much of the year traveling across the country teaching classes at bead shows, jewelry schools, guilds, clubs, studios, and stores.
