SILVER II: SOUTHWEST STYLE
INSTRUCTOR: KIM ST. JEAN
In this class, students will learn techniques often associated with Southwestern style jewelry. You will learn how to make and apply feathers, flowers, and other Native American-style motifs. We will be creating castellated bezels, shadow box stone settings, utilizing stamping techniques using hand-made Native American stamps purchased in Tucson to create one-of-a-kind rings, pendants, earrings, and bracelets. The instructor will provide the educational materials, tools, stamps, and all consumables that are needed. You are encouraged to bring your own stamps, tools, and designs. I will have a wide variety of cabochons available for purchase at fair or below market value. Optivisors may be necessary for detailed work and closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Long hair should be worn up or back. Come and learn this popular style in a fun and self-paced environment.
