BEADING I: BASIC BEADING & DESIGN

INSTRUCTOR: ROBIN CHALY

Students will learn the basics of knotting on silk thread, and stringing beads on wire and leather. Different methods of closures using wire guardians, crimps, crimp covers, bead tips, French coil, and cones will be covered and practiced. Students who have a special focal piece they would like to add to a beaded necklace should bring it to class. A large selection of pearls, natural stones, crystals, metal spacers and wood beads will be available for purchase. All beads, tools and supplies needed may be purchased from the instructor. Students may choose to bring their own tools, purchase basic tools from the instructor or share those supplied by the instructor.
