Boyce, Sarah Lee

Sarah Lee has been teaching Opals I and II since the early 1990's. She teaches at William Holland and from her home studio in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sarah Lee teaches a structured 14-step method for Opal Cutting, that she developed herself, because the Opal rough can be very unforgiving, and the play of colors needs to be released slowly. Her 14-Step Method has been proven to get the best colors from opals. Sarah Lee has studied and mined Opals from Australia, Mexico, Canada, and the US. She is a true Rockhound and is also skilled in other areas such as faceting, cabochons, wire, casting, and silversmithing. Sarah Lee has been teaching Opals at William Holland for more than 25 years and is a board member.
