Pre-intermediate (B1)

SITUAZIONE DI PARTENZA: Students already have fundamental grammatical competencies and can use present and past tense, simple future, imperative, conditional, direct and indirect object pronouns, and present subjunctive. Students can already describe themselves and others, give commands and advice, talk about future plans, and express personal opinions or wishes.

OBIETTIVI: We will cover the following grammatical topics: trapassato prossimo, double object pronouns (pronomi combinati), past conditional, pronouns ci and ne, possessive pronouns, congiuntivo passato, conjunctions and congiuntivo, agreement of congiuntivo presente and passato, and adverbs in -mente. Students will also learn new vocabulary to make analogies, express doubt, or disagreement, ask for help, describe products, give explanations, make assumptions, talk about feelings and emotions. 

MATERIALE e ATTIVITÀ: Nuovo Espresso 3 (B1), Alma Edizioni (Unità 1-3); Italian Grammar in Practice, Alma Edizioni. Additional material (photocopies). Songs, videos, conversations, oral presentations and written compositions, listening and comprehension activities, readings to improve pronunciation and build up vocabulary.
