Small Apple Basket
Workshop | Registration opens 12/2/2025 10:00 AM CST
Create a charming basket out of hand split white oak from trees that the instructor personally selects, cuts, and prepares by hand, using the tools his father made and used. Billy Owens, a second-generation basket maker, will share all things concerning white oak basketry from how he selects his trees to how he prepares it all by hand. The small apple basket has a 6” x 12” woven oak herringbone bottom, is approximately 9” (excluding the oak handle), and has an oval top. Learn a valuable craft and leave with a piece of Ozark tradition.
