Hollow Forms in Copper Metal Clay
Workshop | Available
Learn to make hollow shapes in metal clay using a variety of techniques. Metal clay is a versatile material that starts as clay and turns into pure metal when fired, opening new possibilities for metalsmiths. Birdhouses and boxes are formed with dry construction techniques, while the beads are molded over a combustible core. You’ll learn clay handling, shaping, forming, wet and dry construction, adding fire-in-place findings, texturing, firing, and finishing in this beginners workshop. No metal clay experience is required.
