The Natural Portrait
Workshop | Available
Learn to work with the figure by creating small maquettes and a larger portrait in clay. The workshop will focus on creating a natural rendering of the subject by working from observation using pictures and/or a mirror. Students will learn basic modeling and sculpting skills as well as head and face proportions in order to create a finished portrait.
Artwork meeting firing requirements may be able to be fired for an additional $75 fee and picked up later, or students can take it home and have it fired elsewhere.
