This Reading Readiness Screening is not diagnostic for dyslexia. However, the standardized assessment tool used can help determine whether a child is "at risk" for reading problems. The Screening includes a 30-minute online post-evaluation conference to gather additional information and discuss the findings. (This is also the prerequisite screening for Reading Club.)

A $30 fee is required for each Reading Readiness Screening. The Screening is only offered in person.

The assessment time is approximately 1 hour.

Appointments are scheduled Monday - Friday (not weekends) and generally begin at 9:30 a.m. CST.

Notice: The Reading Center is a training institution, and the assessment may be observed by an evaluator-in-training.
