Reading about a teacher named Kristin who is a searcher of beautiful and interesting places to see in Connecticut led me to "search" for her suggestion: COLLINSVILLE, CT. She was so enthused about this little gem so easily reached from our New Haven area. First, it is on the National Register of Historical Places to visit. Collinsville is tucked along a twisting and curvy stretch of the Farmington River.  It has historic buildings, riverfront settings, artistic spirit, art studios, and galleries.  There are wonderful places to eat and enjoy this picturesque small town. Led by a docent, we will explore its history, its people, its excellent historical society building, and river views.  Everyone will drive to the site and will receive directions closer to the date. Each person will be responsible for their own food costs. The class will cost the normal $10.00.

Collinsville here we come to find out about that Axe!

Marcia Jamron has been fascinated by travel since early childhood. College, followed by family duties, have not dulled the anticipation of a new place to see and learn all about. She applies this urge to look for new and different places to the ILR bus and zoom trips she plans and conducts.
