F26-31 The Science of Dreams
Class | FULL (Membership Required)
Dreams are one of the most fascinating and mystifying aspects of sleep. Since Sigmund Freud helped draw attention to the potential importance of dreams, considerable research has unraveled both the neuroscience and psychology of dreams. Yet there is still much that remains unknown. Though everyone dreams, there is no simple explanation for the complex aspect of dreams.
This course will explore many of the questions we have about this fascinating and little understood aspect of sleep.
Topics like the following:
The Science behind dreaming,
What a dream actually is,
Why we dream,
What REM is,
Types of dreams,
and Sleep and dream abnormalities will all be explored.
