F25-40 - Introduction to Infectious Diseases
Class | Registration opens 9/2/2025 9:00 AM
In this lecture, I will provide a broad introduction to infectious diseases from the perspective of a microbiologist. We will review foundational concepts related to infectious diseases, including what causes them, how they spread, and how they are diagnosed. Participants will also learn about the methods that scientists use to study disease-causing microbes, drawing on case studies from the scientific literature. By the end of the lecture, participants will develop a deeper understanding of infectious diseases and how to interpret data from this field.
