This class will illuminate the beliefs of key Artificial Intelligence (AI) thought leaders on AI's future impact on our political, cultural, and social lives. We will briefly review the leading AI models available today and perform a live demonstration of their already incredible power. The main portion of the class will use video excerpts of the thought leaders to describe both the enormous potential benefits of AI in fields such as medicine, education, and science, as well as the potential for great harm to humanity and human existence itself. The session will conclude with a brief class discussion.
