F25-15 - Aren’t You Curious About Japanese and Chinese Characters?
Class | Registration opens 9/2/2025 9:00 AM
For those who have NO understanding of either Japanese or Mandarin, this course is designed to be a general
introduction to the fascinating world of characters, those symbols that we see on the side of buses or at the Dim
Sum place in New York. How do they “work”? How can they be typed? Why is it faster to read characters
than the Roman alphabet? How can one text with characters? Disclaimer: The instructor is not fluent in either
Japanese or Mandarin, but she is totally obsessed with characters and has been studying them since 2008.
