S25-34 The Art of Trader Joe's

Class | Registration opens 3/3/2025 9:00 AM

Trader Joe’s is a treasure trove of art. Hidden in plain  sight, artwork animates everything from the eye-catching product packaging to handmade murals and signs. After visiting 150+ Trader Joe's stores nationwide, Julie Averbach uncovers the secret and surprising stories behind Trader Joe’s art, inspiring us to appreciate the grocery store as an art gallery. In this lively lecture, Averbach presents discoveries from her award-winning Yale Art History thesis and new book The Art of Trader Joe’s.
