The BLS Renewal Class is for those who are currently AHA BLS certified and needing to renew their certification.

The BLS Renewal course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills (CRP, AED) for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. 

What is covered in this course

  • The steps of the Chains of Survival
  • How to perform high-quality CPR for an adult, a child and an infant
  • How to use an AED
  • Effective team dynamics in a multi rescuer resuscitation
  • How to treat special considerations in basic life support
  • How to relieve for-body airway obstruction for an adult, a child and an infant
During the course there is lots of hands-on practice..



  • You must have a current American Heart Association BLS certification to be allowed into this class. 

    Students will be performing physical activity during the course while performing CPR.

    At the conclusion of the course students will need to complete the 25 question written test.

    The course is available to students that are renewing their AHA BLS Certification. If you do not have a current AHA BLS Provider certification please search for BLS Provider or BLS Skills classes.

    Successful students receive an AHA eCertification valid for two years. The certification will be issued to the email you use to register for the class.

    You do not have to be a medical professional to take this class. Non-medical personnel can take this class for CPR and AED training and receive the same AHA BLS certification.
  • The BLS Provider Student Manual is required for each student for this class.
