ACLS is an advanced course that builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-qualify CPR, and high performance team dynamics.

The ACLS Provider 2 day course is for those whose cards have expired or are taking ACLS for the first time or prefer the more in depth pace of the 2 day class.

The course covers

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and user of an AED
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
  • Airway management
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of ACS and stroke
  • Effective communication as a team member and leader of a resuscitation team

  • ACLS Pretest and Precourse work
    • The ACLS Pretest and Precourse work are required to be completed prior to the class and the pretest and precourse completion certificate must be brought to class or emailed to info@edcor.net prior to the class. Precourse work may take up to a few hours. Please note that this course is typically taught in 2 days. Preparation is important for success in this class.
      BLS
      • BLS recertification is offered at this class. To renew your BLS, select BLS as an additional item during your registration (in the books section of the registration process). Your instructor will review the infant portion of BLS along with the adult portion that is already included in the ACLS curriculum. You will be required to take the BLS written test at the end of the class
    • The course is available to all students.
      • Students whose certification has expired
      • Students who are taking ACLS for the first time
      • Students who prefer the classroom learning Format
      • Students who have a non AHA ACLS Provider certification. 
      • Students who are renewing their ACLS certification and prefer the two day format
      Successful students receive an AHA eCertification valid for two years. The certification will be issued to the email you use to register for the class.
    • The 2020 ACLS Provider Student Manual is required for each student for this class.
      • Please ensure you have access to one or purchase one at time of checkout either from EdCor or direct from the distributor. Both options will be available to you within the additional items upon selecting to register for the class.
