Heartsaver First-Aid/CPR/AED class
The Heartsaver First-Aid\CPR\AED skills class is a hybrid class. Students complete the online modules consisting of video lessons, learning lessons and sims online and then attend a classroom session for hands on modules.
The class is geared towards students with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion certification for CPR, AED and\or First-Aid to meet job regulatory and\or other requirements.
The class is also available to the general public for anyone wanting CPR, AED and First-Aid training.
The course teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive.
Students learn skills such as
- CPR and AED use for adults, infants and children
- How to treat bleeding
- How to treat sprains
- How to treat broken bones
- How to treat shock and other first aid emergencies
The AHA Heartsaver class is intended for non-core medical and non-medical students. The curriculum is for Adult, child and infant CPR and AED along with basic first-aid.
