Class Description: Join us for this Summer Edition of our popular studio class! Students will create their own short play as an ensemble while also honing their actor tools of voice, body and imagination! In this class, students will engage in storytelling, improvisation, and creative drama exploration while working together as an ensemble.

Program Type: This one week program invites students to learn acting, improvisation, and storytelling skills. The program culminates in a sharing for families.

Students will: - Build acting, performance, & theater skills - Participate in a collaborative theater-making process based on the theme of the class - Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community - Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance - Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes

Location Information: Madison Youth Arts, 1055 East Mifflin Street.

# of Students in Class: 20-24 students. Staffed by 2 professional Teaching Artists and 1 Teaching Assistant Intern.

Experience Expectations: We welcome students of all experience and ability levels to register, though this program is tailored for beginners.
