Class Description: Journey to Neverland and meet fairies, pirates, lost boys, and mermaids! This Creative Drama class explores the world of Neverland through music, movement, creative storytelling, and crafts. NOTE: STUDENTS MUST BE 4YRS OLD BY JULY 17TH TO REGISTER.
Program Type: This one week program invites students to learn creative drama, improvisation, and storytelling skills. The program culminates in a sharing for families.
Students will:
- Build acting, performance, & theater skills
- Participate in a collaborative theater-making process based on the theme of the class
- Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community
- Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance
- Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes
Location Information: Madison Youth Arts, 1055 East Mifflin Street.
# of Students in Class: 15-18 students. Staffed by 2 professional Teaching Artists and 1 Teaching Assistant Intern.
Experience Expectations: We welcome students of all experience and ability levels to register, though this program is tailored for beginners.
