Class Description: In this arts integration program that blends music, dance, acting and visual art, use your creativity to take to the skies! Find new heights through exploring stories and songs of airplanes, birds, stars, weather, and more!
Program Type: This 2 week program invites students to explore a theme through the lens of multiple art forms, and share what they’ve learned with families at the end of the program.
Students will:
- Build acting, performance, & theater skills
- Participate in a collaborative theater-making process
- Gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community
- Practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance
- Take risks in a supportive environment & learn from mistakes
Location Information: The entire program will take place at Madison Youth Arts, 1055 East Mifflin Street.
# of Students in Class: 24 students. There are 3 professional teaching artists and 1 Teaching Assistant Intern and one Stage Management Fellow.
Experience Expectations: Beginners and students with acting experience welcome.
